Thanks for sharing helpful post, but I tested this exchange mailbox recovery tool ( http://www.lepide.com/exchange-manager/ ) for the same purpose. This software recovers all user mailboxes from corrupt or inaccessible .edb files and convert user mailboxes of exchange .edb in to new or existing, single or multiple pst file without any problem.
